7 December 2008 - Coach for Peace has a new website !

It's a huge improvement. First of all, the new look and feel is an important image boost. We can have better interaction with the public through the integrated blog and discussion forums. Web 2.0 features such as videos, mashups can be added.
The new website has excellent functionalities for internal administration such as membership and events management. Members can update their own profile and a password protected Members Only area allows for storage of internal documents and discussion forums.
Future improvements include pages translated into French, publication of articles, and a blog.
21 September 2008 - Official Launch of Coach for Peace on International Day of Peace
The association was actually created on 3 August but the official launch took place on a very symbolic date, 21 September, which is the International Day of Peace, with 21 Founding Members !
The First General Assembly was held from 11:00 - 13:00, on 21 September in Geneva with of a small group of members who were physically present in Geneva on that day, while the other members around the world, sent their messages and participated remotely.
The foundation documents of the Association were approved (statutes, mission, membership, etc.) and an action plan was prepared with the idea of doing the groundwork for the association's activities until end of the year and starting the projects beginning 2009.
The GA was followed by a lunch in a typical restaurant of the old town of Geneva.
21 September 2008 - International Day of Peace in Geneva

Coaches for Peace strolling around in Geneva on 21 September this year were sad to see that there were no crowds around the concerts and festivities organised for this day by non-profit organisations such as ICVolunteers and One World. Nonetheless the artists performed passionately and with a sincerity that was truly moving. Let's hope that next year more people will be mobilized for the one thing that we all want most of all : PEACE !!
